Welcome to our Kids' Nature Workshop, where we'll explore the wonderful world of plants and flowers! Our four day workshop is designed to teach kids about the different types of plants and flowers, their growth and needs, and how they play a vital role in our lives! Workshops are designed for kids ages 6-12 years old and perfect for those who want to learn more about the amazing world of plants and flowers. We will have a blast educating your child on all things plants and nature! Workshops will be from August 8th through August 11th, 10am-12pm each day at our Downtown Ferndale Shop. Day One, August 8th--Bookmarks & Bouquets Learn about pressing flowers and create your own personalized bookmark with a variety of pressed and dried florals. Afterwards, create your own mini bouquet with a variety of flowers you could dry or press at home to preserve. Day Two, August 9th--Painted Pot Pal & Face Painting Let your creative juices flow as you paint a flower pot using bright paint and ornaments. From there, pick a flower and our team will walk you through how to plant and care for it as it grows! You will also get the chance to get your face painted! Day Three, August 10th--Mini Succulent Garden Learn about the importance of nature, it's interconnectedness and our role in helping with care while you DIY your own succulent planter using a variety of succulents, colored moss, natural elements, and stones. Day Four, August 11th--Tie Dye with Flowers Explore the fun and creative world of tie dye using flowers! Our workshop is designed to teach kids about natural dyes from flowers. We'll walk them through the process of using flowers to transfer the pigment of the flower onto a t-shirt. All supplies will be provided during the workshop and a nut-free snack will also be given. Workshops will be from 10am-12pm Tuesday through Friday at our Nine Mile Location located at 262 W. Nine Mile Road, Ferndale, MI 48220. All four days are included in the ticket price.
