Event Coordinator / E-Commerce Specialist
RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct client and guest interaction is one of the main roles of this position.

Manage the Event/Wedding Consultations and quoting process.
-
Abilities to consult with clients, build relationships, and work with a range of budgets, styles and timelines.
-
Update and maintain the Event pipeline and schedule.
-
Responsible for managing and responding timely to all client inquiries.
-
Assist in answering phones and taking floral orders.
-
Collaborate with the Manager on Logistics for upcoming events/weddings and deliveries.
-
Collaborate with floral designer/Manager ordering florals & hard goods for events.
-
Work as a conduit with the OBB marketing and social media team.
-
Manage & assist in developing interactive & educational Floral/Garden workshops hosted at OBB or outside locations for both kids and adults.

Manage Floral Cart collaborations and rentals.
-
Quote and book floral packages, for new clients.
-
Acquire local customers through social media and in person resources/channels.
-
Maintain, build and grow new partnerships and revenue stream. Corporate Accounts, Restaurants, Funeral Homes, Country Clubs, Event Planners, business collaborations.

Responsibility of assisting with the e-commerce portion of the website – gain familiarity with the back end of the website. Keep the website on trend, update inventory, add products to sell, update Seasonal products.

Work as conduit with the Website design team. Keep Manager updated with changes and edits.

Monitor and assist in building out e-commerce of the OBB business. Increase online sales.

Assist customers on sale floor, when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience with Event planning & the floral industry is recommended

Have a reliable source of transportation and valid driver's license to travel in the local Southeast Michigan region .

Knowledge of flowers, design techniques and industry trends.

Ability to work wedding/large event weekends & flower holidays.

You’ll need to be able to jump in and hustle with any department when in a pinch.

Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds on a regular basis and labor related tasks will be asked of you.

Olive’s BloomBox Shop is open year-round. We run as a Floral Studio, Garden Center and Boutique in a small and fast-paced environment. We’re surrounded by beautiful live plants and flowers but with that comes dirt, water and Mother Nature plays a huge role in our day to day working environment. We’re trendy, but comfortable and come dressed to work hard, get dirty and adapt to the weather.
